Pharmacogenomic Testing for Personalized Treatment

At Intentional Healing, I offer pharmacogenomic testing to support more informed medication selection in mental health care. This approach uses your genetic information to help guide decisions around medications commonly used for conditions such as depression, anxiety, and other psychiatric disorders. Pharmacogenomic testing analyzes how your body may process certain medications. Since individuals can metabolize medications differently, this information can help providers make more thoughtful choices when selecting or adjusting treatment. By incorporating this testing into your mental health care plan, I aim to support a more personalized and efficient approach to finding medications that work best for you.

Benefits of a Holistic Approach

Pharmacogenomic testing is a simple and non-invasive process. A DNA sample is collected using a quick cheek (buccal) swab and sent to a specialized laboratory for analysis. Once results are available, you and your provider receive a detailed report. At Intentional Healing, I review these results with you to help guide mental health medication selection and dosing considerations, and to support a more individualized treatment plan moving forward.
